    Wild SZN.

Since 2003, Nike has teamed up with the OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, giving it’s young patients the opportunity to design their very own pair of Nikes, with all of the proceeds going back into the hospital.

It’s a bloody good cause, and the kids’ results are always in high demand.

For the first time this year, the Nike Doernbecher Freestyle Collection will include the super-comfy and lightweight Nike Zoom Fly — and today we get our very first look at it.

Designed by Payton Fentress who lives in Portland. In 2010, he was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. He is a lover of baseball, Jurassic World, his prized guitar and a good burger and fries.

His 2016 World Series Champions Chicago Cubs play a huge part in his design, with baseball-branded tongues, the year 1977 and 2016 are displayed on the heels, along with “Greatest Of All Time” printed on the midsole, and Goat and Payton printed on the laces tips.

Like a lot of the DB sneakers over the years, it comes in a wild mix of vibrant colors. White, green. orange, blue, black and red make up the semi-translucent sneaker. Release dates for the entire collection are yet to be set in stone, but, like every year, expect a release around mid-November.

    Stay tuned for more.
