The Nigeria national football team won't be participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup™ tournament, but it's still celebrating new federation kits by Nike. Although Home and Away jerseys won't be unveiled on-pitch across North America this summer, the "Super Eagles" will surely have a third kit join the annals of street fashion history thanks to a special-edition design by Olaolu Slawn.
Born in Nigeria, but now based in London, the 25-year-old artist is the first Nigeria-born creative to receive his very own Air Max collaboration. Now, the creative will help the Swoosh celebrate his home country's football heritage, injecting his signature art style into a performance-first kit.
The Super Eagles have long-been celebrated for their eye-catching jerseys. Their latest skin isn't any different, but Slawn's proposal blends off-pitch flair with Aero-FIT gear that's ready to perform across a number of climates. Large "NAIJA" text appears on the center of the shirt, while the remainder of the design sees an all-over pattern rooted in Slawn's recognizable aesthetic.
Thus far, only a 2026 collab jersey has surfaced, as well as a Slawn Cryo Shot, which joins collaborations with the Virgil Abloh Archive™, Patta, and other imprints representing football federations.
Stay tuned for firm Nike SNKRS launch details, which should surface by the beginning of June.
