According to LaVar Ball, his son Lonzo is worth $1billion to Nike. He made the claim last month, saying his son’s sneaker deal can be paid in small, $100million instalments over the next 10 years.
Let’s be honest. That’s never going to happen, LaVar.
Nike co-founder Phil Knight actually showed some love for LaVar’s ambitious figure. “If he can get it, get it,’’ he said, speaking to USA Today.
Although Nike wont drop a billi on Lonzo, Phil is definitely showing interest in the young man.
“It’s a little steep,’’ said Knight, and of Lonzo Ball he added, “He’s an awfully great player. Yeah, we have an interest.”
Ball has been with Adidas since his time at Chino Hills High School, so Nike will have to start a bidding war if they want to secure him.
