The Nike Blazer has lent itself to many subcultures over the years, from skateboarding to streetwear, and everything in between. One of the earliest adopters was the rock and roll scene that took the hardwood sneaker to the stage during the silhouette’s early years. Now Nike looks to honor that movement with a special Rock & Roll edition of the sneaker and what better place to anchor the theme than in the home of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?

The Nike Blazer Mid “Cleveland Rocks” not only nods to the city but does so in rocked-out fashion. Lettering on the insole arrives in stylized rock font. On the exterior, you’ll find distressed black denim, a staple of the scene for over 50 years, as well as flaming lateral Swooshes that champions the theme. The medial switches back to simple white leathers, with sole units following the minimal look. There are premium upgrades, too, including eyestay hardware and leather liners, along with tongues void of any nylon — instead, they’re clad in denim — to complete the design.
