Nike to Celebrate SNKRS Day with Two “Got ‘Em!” Air Max 1s

When it comes to Nike, nothing is ever s a coincidence. Coming off the wild;y successful reintroduction of its Anniversary edition in “Magma Orange” and “Evergreen”, the Air Max 1 reappears, riding the wave into Europe’s third annual SNKRS Day which falls on August 8th. This year, to celebrate the oft-despised launch platform, you can expect to see a bevy of releases, likely to include some highly sought-after restocks; but as it appears, it won’t be just old favorited making a return, with two special-edition “Got ‘Em” Air Max 1s arriving for the occasion.

Done up in two distinctly different finishes, the men’s pair arrives anchored in earthy tans, browns, and fawns, whilst the ladies release — a much more modernized take — arrives in greys, whites, and translucent. The former arrives in a vintage aesthetic, with plush mesh tan uppers and smooth leather overlays in varying tones of tan and brown — an aesthetic which channels the palettes and materials of the mid-1970s. The other pair steps forward a few decades, with pearlescent TPU uppers and sweeping leather mudguards in light grey. Both pairs arrive with triple-layered Swooshes — a nod to the third anniversary of the event—, debossed forefoot mini branding, and special-edition “Got ‘Em!” SNKRS branding on the insoles. Capping off the designs is debossed branding in the rear, along with the impending SNKRS Day date of August 8th, 2020, in which the sneakers are expected to drop.
