Are ya ready, kids? Just when you thought the SpongeBob x Nike Kyrie 5 Collection was done and dusted, the infamous pineapple from under the sea has surfaced on Kyrie’s fifth signature sneaker. This pair is the sixth SpongeBob Nike Kyrie to the surface, and nay fan of the show will instantly recognize its influence. Already dubbed the “Pineapple House” Nike Kyrie 5,” the pair’s inspiration comes directly from the blissfully-ignorant Sponge’s fruity underwater residence, featuring an all-over pineapple graphic print, lace covers styled like pineapple leaves, Swooshes symbolic of windows with a reflection of the surrounding sea and nautical wheel motifs on the heel. Official Nickelodeon branding hits the lace overlays, and SpongeBob’s mug can be seen printed on the insoles.
The “Pineapple House” Kyrie 5 popped up on the Foot Locker app along with a release date set for October 24th in full-family sizing — but that app’s release dates are notoriously temporary at best, so stay tuned for more.
