Supreme x Nike Air Max 96 Collaboration Arrives May 6th

Perhaps one of the most successful collaborations of recent years is the relationship between Nike and Supreme, very few partnerships would even come close to the amount of hype that the two giants can generate. Looking to capitalize on this momentum and focus their attention on an obscure classic to produce the Supreme x Nike Air Max 96.

Hype-beasts will have to do with a sneak peek for the moment until official images are released, but let’s break down what we can see from the image below. Construction seems to be an all-leather dark upper that feature shark tooth-like fully translucent segments that descend in size towards the toe box which also allows a peek at the red insoles. Anchoring down the design is an all-white midsole that encapsulates Air units throughout, which like the upper allows a subtle red to be seen via the translucent windows. Completing the look is a black outer sole, Supreme branding on the heel, and an understated small swoosh on the medial.

Supreme has officially unveiled its three-piece Air Max 96 collection, alongside a set of confirmed release dates for early May. The Supreme x Nike Air Max 96 Spring 2021 collaboration will see a global release, available via the streetwear imprint’s website on May 6th at 11 a.m. EDT in the United States, and May 8th at 11 a.m. JST in Japan. A Nike SNKRS release is yet to be announced.
