Wale Helps Launch Nike G.T. Future “Valor Blue” with Foot Locker Appearance

Back in March, Wale was photographed wearing a reflective Nike G.T. Future basketball shoe. On Dec. 13, the Washington, D.C.-native will be a special guest at a select Foot Locker in Maryland for the official launch of the sneaker in a "Photo Blue" style—a pair that turns out to be a proper collab with the "Nike Boots" rapper.

Since NBA All-Star Weekend in February, Nike Basketball has tapped Wale to preview numerous pairs of the G.T. Future. both parties waited until today to confirm that a proper Wale G.T. Future project will be dropping. His consistent association with the retro-inspired performance model had already made him inseparable from the brand's bold bet and the "Photo Blue" style cements him forever. As with other ensembles to appear on the sneaker thus far, the "Photo Blue" pair features a rather tonal color execution across its upper. A gradient finish takes over the molded, shell-reminiscent top-half, while sole units and inner lining deviate in pitch-dark contrast. Profile swooshes opt for an iridescent look that complements reflective tongue elements well.

Stay tuned for a Nike.com release date. The G.T. Future is priced at $200. Foot Locker in Hillcrest Heights (Maryland) will host a special launch of the model's "Photo Blue" option come Saturday, Dec. 13. The in-store event (3743 Branch Ave Ste 104) begins at 1 p.m. EST.
