With the OG “Goldenrod” mere days away from its return — and with several other classic colorways already earmarked — Nike is quite obviously focused on more contemporary colorways for the Air Max 96 IImoving forward. From a hot mess of denim and collegiate colors to this new pastel-clad “Purple Dawn” creation, it’s apparent that Swoosh is aiming at attracting a new wave of fans to the silhouette; here it’s the women who are in Nike’s sights.

Arriving anchored in the titular lavender hue at both its mesh base and suede overlays, the pair quickly shifts to very soft lemon shades across the various underlays, Swooshes, and outsoles. Further detailing is done in a muted blue-purple hue, while a subtle barely-there pink pops up along the midsoles. to complete the design.
