South Korea's WORKSOUT to Release Nike Air Max 95 Collab Soon
South Korean imprint WORKSOUT is the latest collaborator to reimagine the iconic Nike Air Max 95 as part of the silhouette's 30th anniversary celebration.
Founded in 2003 by Seunghyuk Kang and Sunyoung Park, the retailer has been delivering a curated selection of globally-sourced goods to its local audience, introducing folks to brands like Carhartt WIP, Wacko Mario, and Palace. In its earliest iteration, Kang and Park's company operated as Southfoot, an independent online portal for hard-to-get Western goods. Nike footwear was a staple on Southfoot's site, making the WORKSOUT x Air Max 95 project a full-circle moment.
A thorough backstory to the collaboration has yet to be disclosed by either party involved, but Romania's Sneaker Market recently shared a first-look at the pair on X. WORKSOUT's vision brings a muted olive color scheme to the Air Max sneaker's upper. Enlarged profile swooshes also join the mix, while Worksout text replaced typical branding on the top-of-the-tongue. A patterned series of overlays sits atop a black-colored sole unit, which features Big Bubble cushioning at the heel.
Firm release details for the South Korean label's collab aren't certain as of yet, but it's possible the shoes don't get a global Nike.com launch. In any case, stay tuned for more information on the project.
