Nike’s Fantastic Four Revival Heats Up With the Air Max 95 “Human Torch”

Nike’s Fantastic Four story is heating back up for 2027.

Following news of the Air Foamposite Pro “Dr. Doom” and Air Max 90 “Mr. Fantastic” returning, the Air Max 95 “Human Torch” is now expected to rejoin the lineup for Summer 2027. Add in the recent release of an “Invisible Woman”-leaning Air Force 1 variant, and Nike’s 2006 Marvel-inspired set is effectively coming back together — even if the rollout is arriving in scattered form.

Originally released as part of the brand’s Fantastic Four Pack, the “Human Torch” Air Max 95 turns Johnny Storm’s flame-covered persona into one of the loudest takes on Sergio Lozano’s layered runner. The 2027 retro is expected to return in a mix of Deep Red, Orange Blaze, Varsity Maize, Max Orange, Shock Orange, and White, with the model’s signature side panels shifting through fiery red, orange, and yellow tones.

White midsoles help break up the heat, while red traction and warm-tinted Air units continue the theme underfoot. Unlike the original 2006 release, the 2027 pair is expected to arrive with Nike’s updated Big Bubble Air setup, giving the throwback colorway a slightly modernized build.

The Nike Air Max 95 “Human Torch” is currently expected to release in Summer 2027 through select Nike Sportswear retailers and Nike.com. Retail is expected to be set at $200.
