Obscure collaborative sneaker partnerships seem to be the theme of the day, with this YouTube Nike KD 12 joining the equally-unusual pairing of NYC Parks and the Air Force 1 Lowwhich surfaced earlier this morning.
As we look closer, though, there’s some solid merit to the collaboration. After all, the Slim Reaper has amassed subscribers on his channel upwards of 772k — no mean feat for a guy who’s primarily known for his on-court prowess. The white-based sneaker links in the brand’s colors with bold red sole units, Swooshes, laces and collars, while slight hits of black arrive on the liner, Swoosh outlines and player control motif print, which is found on the tongues and heels. Search bar insoles and heel tags that read “Video will play after ad” beefs up the broadcaster’s themes, and the pair is capped off with co-branded tongues.
