Sanrio's HELLO KITTY® is larger-than-life. What began simply as an in-house character developed to avoid royalty fees has become one of the most ubiquitous and successful designs across the globe. The lovable feline recently appeared on the PUMA Suede XL.
Similar to a previously-seen Easy Rider, the latest sneaker project is unquestionably a HELLO KITTY® collaboration. A rich 'For All Time Red' tone animates the soft suede upper, which features embroidered bows across the profiles. The inner-lining opts for a 'PUMA White' finish that also includes graphics of Kitty White; she also appears on the custom shoe box.
Other nods to Sanrio's iconic character arrive in the form of special lace dubraes, sign-offs on the tongue label and midsole, and the modified Big Cat emblem on the spine nodding to White's favorite fruit: apples.
Enjoy official photos of the Suede XL by HELLO KITTY® ahead. Pairs could restock on the PUMA.com site soon, but the style is available via after-market platforms like StockX.
