Reebok has never been shy when it comes to creative collaborations. For well over a decade, the footwear division has linked up with some of the most playful partners from Monopoly, to Kool-Aid, to the more recent efforts with Jurassic Park, Minions, The Mighty Morphin’ Power Ranges, and Candy Land. their fixation with both the 80/90s eras and childhoods has frequently found its way to the fore, once again shining through on this upcoming Reebok x Nerf collection that celebrates the colorful indoor hoop sets dubbed the Big Bad Backboard (Nerfoop)

Featuring the Reebok Pump Omni Zone II and Kamikaze II, the collection presents Nerf’s signature color pops and splatter graphics along with a bevy of co-branded finishes throughout. the Omni Zone II opts for a mostly black leather build, with magenta-pink splatter overlays at the toe and collar met my matching midsole and liner hues respectively. Pops of yellow arrive across the midfoot, from the outsole pop to the eyestays and liners, as well as the Nerf-branded PUMP system and lateral embroidered logos. The Kamikaze II gets in a few more colors, including orange, lime green, and purple, across its mismatched make-up, and keeps its splatter finish solely for the heel and tongue branding. Both pairs are completed by special graphic insoles that shout out the mid-90s toys.

A third inclusion to the Reebok x Nerf collection has appeared in the form of a Kamikaze II Low. Again inspired by 1995’s Big Bad Backboard, an early variant of the Nerfoop, it arrives in vibrant neons inspired by its packaging and bright product colors.

A fourth inclusion to the Reebok x Nerf collection has just surfaced — a second Pump Oni Zone II “Light Jammer” — a shout out to 1996’s mini light switch cover basketball hoop.
