Hirofumi Kojima, Creative Director for atmos, recently took to Instagram to tease a Salomon XT-4 GORE-TEX collaboration. The pair serves as a sequel to 2023's "Stars Collide" project.
Over the last few years, the Japanese boutique has made it an annual tradition of working with the storied technical company, injecting conceptual makeovers into a number of silhouettes. The XT-4 maintains all of its performance-informed elements and features enhanced resistance against the elements thanks to its GTX-backing.
Akin to its predecessor, the latest Salomon style by atmos includes an understated color scheme across its build. Navy and silver tones come together to recreate the night sky, with the former hue taking over most components throughout the upper and sole unit. Synthetic overlays along the profiles opt for a shimmering grey that works in-tandem with star-shaped and reminiscent graphics printed onto the ballistic nylon profiles to further nod to outer space. By comparison, April 2023's "Stars Collide" XT-6 featured similar touches around the lower-half.
According to Kojima, the second star-inspired project by atmos for Salomon will release in December exclusively via the Asian retailer.
