The Yeezy 350 V2 CMPCT “Slate Onyx” Releases August 4
Adidas is poised to release Yeezy 350 V2 CMPCT "Slate Onyx" this month as part of their final rollout of Yeezy-branded product.
After their notable split with Kanye West in 2022, adidas found itself holding a vast surplus of Yeezy merchandise. A rather bleak period ensued for the Three Stripes, with the prospect of significant losses looming. However, a successful reconciliation with the illustrious yet often contentious artist led to a reversal of fortunes, enabling the brand to liquidate its excess stock.
Following a highly successful initial wave of releases, which reportedly generated an impressive $560 million in revenue, adidas Yeezy has revealed plans to drop more sneakers this coming August. These eagerly awaited releases are set to be available not only via the CONFIRMED app but also at select retailers and boutiques. The lineup includes several well-loved staples, such as the Yeezy Boost 350 v2 and the Foam Runner.
Although leaks suggested a more extensive, 19-pair collection, adidas' official announcement has, so far, only confirmed a total of 12 different pairs.
Starting August 2nd, the adidas Yeezy August 2023 releases will be available through Adidas' own platforms and select retail outlets — the latter following with releases on the 3rd. To manage the anticipated high demand and ensure a premium, fair experience for all customers, the brand will implement a phased release strategy throughout the day.
