Arwa Al Banawi x adidas Forum Low Arrives May 28th

Growing up in Jeddah, Saudi designer Arwa Al Banawi got an early fashion education from her stylish parents who inspired her love for uniquely tailored points of view. Despite spending a lot of most of her late childhood in Switzerland, her work is often inspired by (and for) Middle Eastern women. Her garments not only feature clever and comfortable elements mixed in with the modern lines, but also traditional prints and patterns found in regional traditions. Now Arwa has put her unique touch on the adidas Forum, which is naturally an exclusive for the ladies.

Though its color palette is fairly reserved, its intricacies are on another level. The mostly-bone effort is built with heavy-duty mesh uppers and overlays of tonal suede. Tongues and midfoot Three Stripes opt for the soft leather finish — the latter hit with cascading red contrast stitchwork to match the bold houndstooth textile in the rear. Above that is Arwa’s insignia stamped in gold foil, as too is the interior and exterior Trefoil branding at the tongue. Completing the design are slight pops of brown canvas that can be seen at the heel to compliment the gum rubber outsole beneath.
