Early last month, Xbox announced a global partnership with adidas in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Xbox. Alongside that announcement came a special-edition Forum Tech BOOST done-up in the dudes of the limited-edition Halo launch packaging. The pair was only available to a select few (hardcore) fans of the console, but those who missed out can expect to see a lot more in the near future. Now, mere days after a follow-up Forum Mid that celebrated the 360 comes a new Series X-inspired option of the Forum Tech BOOST to compliment the initial release of the partnership.
The silhouette’s colorway is overhauled to a near-perfect resemblance system’s newest console, decking out the pair in an all-black execution, save a few telltale signs of the monolithic monster. Liners show a glow of green peering through a mesh that’s not too dissimilar from the top side of the console, while metallic silver Xbox logos at the midfoot are ripped straight from the side of the console. Given the monolith’s minimal make, it’s natural that there would be some extra creativity added, seen here with the inclusion of neon green heel clips, fully-translucent soles, and striped laces added, while 20th-anniversary insoles and special 2001-2021 heel tags complete the design.
