Another packed week of footwear releases is here, with Nike, Jordan Brand, adidas and Converse all adding something to the calendar from Aug. 10 through Aug. 15.
Basketball dominates much of the week, led by new releases from Kobe sneakers, Devin Booker's Book 2, Ja Morant's Nike Ja 4 and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's SHAI 001s, while Nike Football also gets involved with Kylian Mbappé’s “Golden Boot” release and a Hellstar x adidas collaboration set for Saturday.
The week gets underway with the Nike Book 2 “Eggplant” and Kylian Mbappé’s latest “Golden Boot” football release. Booker’s second signature model takes on a dark purple finish, while Mbappé adds a high-profile football drop to the day’s lineup.
Nike adds a classic runner to the week with the Air Max 90 “Shadow Brown.” The pair keeps things tonal with layered brown shades across the leather and textile upper, matching the darker look with a brown midsole and visible Air cushioning underfoot.
Thursday belongs to Nike, with the Ja 4 “Nightmare” and Nike SB Air Force 1 “Light Chocolate” both set to release. Ja Morant’s latest signature colorway mixes bright green and darker blue tones, while the SB Air Force 1 keeps things more understated in brown suede with black accents, dropping via Skate Shops only this weel.
Friday is one of the busiest days on the calendar, led by Nike Running, Converse and Jordan Brand. The Nike Vomero Plus “Cheat Day” and Vomero Premium “Black/Arctic Pink” arrive alongside the Converse SHAI 001 LACE UP “Berry” and “Lime.” Jordan Brand rounds out the day with the Air Jordan 9 Low “What The Kilroy,” which brings elements from the six-pair 2012 Kilroy Pack together in one mismatched release.
Saturday closes the week with the biggest slate. The women’s Air Jordan 3 “Sports Renaissance,” adidas “Cow Print” Pack, Nike Ja 4 “NY vs. NY,” Hellstar x adidas Football cleats, Nike Kobe Protro “Dodgers” Pack, and Free The Youth x Air Jordan 16 are all scheduled to land, giving the day a mix of basketball, lifestyle and football releases.
