Jordan Brand’s premier one-on-one basketball tournament, The One, is set to crown its 2025 champions tomorrow in New York City. The finale, held at The Rooftop at Pier 17, marks the culmination of a months-long global competition that began back in May.
Now in its second year, The One has expanded significantly since its 2024 debut in Paris. This season’s journey stretched across 17 cities worldwide, with qualifiers taking place from London to Manila, Los Angeles to Beijing. Hundreds of hoopers aged 15 to 18 battled through regional rounds for a chance to prove themselves on a global stage. Out of those, 22 players—11 boys and 11 girls—have earned their way to New York to compete for the title of The One and the opportunity to join Jordan Brand as official ambassadors.
The tournament format nods back to Michael Jordan’s own competitive origins, inspired by his legendary backyard battles against his brother Larry. Just as those early matchups fueled the mindset that defined MJ’s career, The One is designed to spotlight the next generation of fearless hoopers ready to carve their own legacy.
Beyond the championship games, Jordan Brand is turning the Pier 17 venue into a celebration of basketball culture. Fans in attendance will have the chance to purchase an exclusive lineup of retros and new releases, including the Air Jordan 40 “Blue Suede” and “The Classic,” the Air Jordan 5 “Fire Red” (Black Tongue), the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Chicago,” the Women’s Air Jordan 1 High OG “Light Madder Root,” the Air Jordan 12 “Taxi,” and the Air Jordan 1 High “Shattered Backboard.”
With the world’s top teenage hoopers chasing greatness and a slate of coveted Air Jordans on offer, tomorrow’s The One Finals promise to be a fitting finale to a tournament that continues to blend performance, culture, and heritage at the highest level.
