Queens-based streetwear label Aimé Leon Dore returns this Fall/Winter season with a fresh new NB collaboration, this time migrating away from retro hoops shoes to hone their craft on a classic runner.
Shared through the imprint’s official Instagram account as part of their FW21 catalog were two color options of an Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 993. Enlisting Action Bronson and Mordechai Rubinstein to preview the pairs in the campaign imagery, we get a quick look a the two vastly different options. Firstly, Bronson is spotted in a typical “Beef and Broccoli” arrangement, with brown mesh uppers, tonal suede overlays, and pops of mossy green at the tongue, toe, and lateral heel. Blacks are then ushered through the laces, tongue branding, and sole units. Rubinstein reveals something a little lighter, with violet mesh uppers, bone suede overlays, and hits of plum all present — and once again capped off with hits of black in matching blocking.
