The Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance Rainier Collection Drops December 16

Though their roots are firmly set into casual, lifestyle, and even formal wear, Queens-based label Aimé Leon Dore will look to branch out their brand into the great outdoors, and they will do so thanks to a collaboration with their long-standing partners in New Balance.

Set to arrive in two (or more) colorways, the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance Rainier takes outdoor exploration to Queens, with the boot-like silhouette dressed in classic textiles of water-resistant GORE-TEX, CORDURA, and suede. Heavy-duty traction underfoot is provided by Vibram, completing the trifecta of big-name fabricators for the great outdoors. The other big names — ALD and New Balance — share the tongue branding, with NB’s signature motif resting at the mid-foot. Color-wise, you will find unassuming navy, grey, and black options joined by a boot of tan; the latter popped with bright green and all-black sole units. Classic press eyestays and rope laces continue the outdoor aesthetic, with co-branded packaging completing the design.

Though a release date for the pair has not yet been set, it is expected to arrive this Fall alongside a collection of apparel.
