Bricks & Wood Unveils New Balance 1000, Fresh Foam BB v3 in "A Different Bounce" Campaign

Kacey Lynch has been working with New Balance since May 2021, bringing his unapologetic storytelling and intentional design approach to silhouettes like the 57/40, 9060, and 1906U. For his first collaboration of 2025 with the North American brand, the Los Angeles-native has prepped another Bricks & Wood project, focusing on basketball ahead of NBA All-Star Weekend 2025.

Titled "A Different Bounce," the collaboration speaks to the multifaceted nature of the sport, highlighting differences and bridging the gap between on-court and off-court. On this front, Lynch and the Bricks & Wood squad have reimagined the New Balance 1000 and New Balance Fresh Foam BB v3.

The former silhouette has been reworked by collaborators like Aimé Leon Dore and Joe Freshgoods before, cementing it as a lifestyle option for a new generation. Bricks & Wood's interpretation of the once-performance-running sneaker sees a mostly-black-and-yellow color scheme across its bevy of panels and technical tooling. As with the brand's butterfly-inspired NB 1906U from October 2024, the newly-surfaced NB 1000 boasts a reflective finish that doubles-down on Lynch's favorite color.

The NB Fresh Foam BB v3 will be Bricks & Wood's first performance-basketball footwear collaboration. Previous editions of New Balance's hoops model have been co-signed by Zach Levine of the Chicago Bulls. Lynch and team's version maintain all of the sneaker's tech specs intact, with their update arriving in the form of a vibrant yellow finish complemented by black and silver accents.

Enjoy an official look at Bricks & Wood's "A Different Bounce" New Balance project below. Neither party involved has shared online release details as of yet, but the collaboration will launch in-person in San Francisco at a pop-up event during NBA All-Star Weekend 2025. Pairs will be available on Friday, Feb. 14, and Saturday, Feb. 15.
