Justin R. Saunders and his Montreal-based JJJJound imprint will be releasing another New Balance collaboration; this time, they’ve revamped the beloved NB 993 model, offering two colorways that showcase the studio’s signature minimalist style.

Both pairs feature smooth, buttery brown suede overlays that lend a contemporary yet timeless appeal to the classic silhouette. While the mesh base remains consistent across both versions, there are critical differences in how each pair is finished. One colorway sticks to tradition, with reflective accents on the tongue and a white/cream midsole, giving it a clean, classic look. The other version opts for a more striking appearance, with black treatments on key elements, including the midsole and suede tongue. The black iteration also features suede underlays instead of the usual leather, adding a subtle texture contrast.

As is typical with JJJJound collaborations, both pairs are adorned with black reflective New Balance logos on the quarter panels, further enhancing the sleek aesthetic. What makes this collaboration even more remarkable is the choice of the New Balance 993 model, a fan favorite in the brand’s “Made In USA” line.

The lighter "Mushroom/White" pair released in January through JJJJound's website and NewBalance.com. The darker "Military Urban Grey/Black" style is now scheduled to release during July for $220.
