New Balance 1000 “Black Metallic” Joins the Spring 2025 Lineup

Black and metallic silver has been dominating the early months of 2025, with Nike leading the charge through the Air Jordan 5 OG Reimagined and an All-Star Weekend Air Force 1 Low dressed in similar hues. But New Balance isn’t sitting this one out, rolling out a series of matching releases across its lineup, including the 1906 and its newly introduced loafer variant. The recently revived New Balance 1000 gets in on the action with a bold black and silver execution.

Releasing quietly in Europe earlier this week, this latest take on the 1000 is anything but subtle. The striking design pairs a black mesh upper with metallic silver overlays, creating a futuristic aesthetic that falls right in line with the Y2K-era appeal of the silhouette. A grey-tinted midsole sits atop a black rubber outsole, keeping the tonal theme consistent.
