The New Balance 2010 Keeps Things Versatile in "Black" and "Cream" Makeovers
The inner workings of New Balance may never come to light, but the Boston-based brand is currently making a push to modernize its arsenal of silhouettes.
Models under the 990 banner continue to be amongst the most-coveted, but the recent duo of the New Balance 2010 and ABZORB 2000 showcase the century-old institution's commitment to the future. The former design is much more in line with the aforementioned heritage franchise, and already boasts a collaboration with Kith. Recently, the lifestyle model has appeared in black-and-brown and cream-and-grey color schemes, presenting versatile looks sure to win audiences over.
Running-inspired elements across the upper bear semblance to Teddy Santis' work for the New Balance Made in USA line, with suede and mesh coming together from forefoot the rear. The robust sole unit takes on tones to match their respective top-halves. ABZORB SBS units appear around the heel, while a stability shank takes on the mid-foot, delivering a reliable, performance-informed ride.
