The New Balance 9060 "Sea Salt" Indulges in Made in USA Freshness
Despite drawing inspiration from its storied 990 franchise, the New Balance 9060 doesn't form part of the brand's Made in USA collection. And yet, its most recent "Sea Salt/Castlerock" look resembles some of the premium styles developed by Aimé Leon Dore's Teddy Santis for the domestic range.
A quality ensemble of leather, suede, and mesh comes together across the upper, which boasts a predominantly off-white finish. Profile N logos and curved underlays throughout the top-half deviate in either a cream or grey color. Underfoot, the chunky sole unit favors a faux-aged aesthetic that's appeared on handfuls of projects by Santis—including the New Balance Made in USA Spring/Summer 2025 collection. The design choice harkens back to the Boston-based institution's heritage while also partaking in unshakeable footwear trends of the moment.
