With PaperBoy, Nice Kicks, YCMC, and DTLR recently delivering inspired efforts on the 992, New Balance looks to its in-house design team for its next release — this one reverting back to absolute basics in black, grey, and white.
Though the release has no-frills, it still kills. A sleek black mesh upper and tonal suede overlays pop off against piercing white midsoles, laces, and midfoot N motifs. The latter is centralized by a chrome finish to complement the surrounding silver underlays and tongue, and the pair is capped off with jet black rubber outsole, white embroidered branding, and translucent tacked into the midsoles.
