New Balance 992 “Navy/Grey” Returns Dec. 1

The New Balance 992has been one of the most prevalent retros for the brand in recent times. With its reintroduction to the market earlier this year, the silhouette has seen a sharp rise in popularity, quickly becoming one of the most in-demand silhouettes that the Boston-based brand has to offer. More recently, the sneaker has been previewed in a slew of gaudy and vibrant options, but it’s not all in-your-face for the future of the sneaker with this next release fitting right back into the Boston-based brand’s wheelhouse.

A faded blue mesh upper is complemented by dark hues of blue pigskin and grey leather, both of which are much dark than traditionally employed. Sole units arrive split between grey and white at the mid, and comes wrapped in a simple navy rubber underfoot. Striking whites return above the unit at the signature N motif, tongue and laces for some pop.

Pairs have been floating in and out of retailers throughout the course of the year — all of which sold out — but there is word of another drop, this time at SNS. Pairs will be arriving on December 1st at 6:00 am ET for $175, and will likely most fast.
