New Balance 993 "Community Blue" Expands Made in USA Range

Teddy Santis and his New Balance Made in USA team had an eventful last few months. The success of their NB 990v6 "Community" Pack might've inspired a similar makeover on the New Balance 993.

Thus far, the beloved silhouette has surfaced in a "Community Blue/Black" color execution. It's possible that the NB 993 arrives in "Community Red" and "Community Mint" styles as well, but that's yet to be determined. Nevertheless, a premium pig suede material indulges in the titular light blue, contrasting grey-and-black underlays throughout the upper. Nods to the sneaker's U.S. manufacturing arrive on the tongue and spine, while the ABZORB and ACTEVA cushioning solution opts for a predominantly-dark-colored presentation.
