New Balance has been coming in hot this Summer, with out-of-the-ordinary releases for the traditionally greyscale brand. 2019 has seen the boys and girls from the Boston brand switch things up in a major way, and it’s shaken up their market appeal, through modernized retoolings, vibrant palates and bold prints. Nubuck underlays in light grey ride the height of the toe box and around the upper heel, with the back-end wrapped in the aforementioned nappy grey suede. Finer grains and lighter shades hit the mid panel, tongue and toe overlays to complete the upper. Below you’ll find the brand’s ABZORB midsole painted in grey, clipped at the heel by a navy plastic piece, with white/red blocking at the toe. Completing the design is a black rubber outsole, red NB heel branding, Navy profile “N” motifs and tri-color tongue text.
