Honoring its 10th anniversary in a big, big way, the Nike LeBron 9 has already enlisted some incredible colorways to celebrate the occasion. Having exclusively uncovered the first-ever retail releases of the Nike LeBron 9 “Watch the Throne” and Nike LeBron 9 “LeBronald Palmer”, we’re completing the trifecta with a third privileged piece of information: the re-release of the Nike LeBron 9 “Big Bang” for 2022
Released during, and worn by King James during All-Star Weekend 2012, the striking orange, glow, and reflective pair was but one of a handful of interstellar-themed releases from the weekend, including the Kobe 7 “Galaxy” and the infamous “Galaxy” Foamposite One — the absolute peak of Nike Basketball of the century thus far. And while the 2022 release likely won’t have the same impact, it’s both a nice reminder of yesteryear, as well as a great opportunity for fans to re-up or secure their first-ever pair of the King’s All-Star colorway.
Though we are yet to sight the 2022 retail release, we’re expecting it to arrive in a similar style to the original release, as has been the case for all of the King’s retro releases thus far.
You should expect to see pairs of the Nike LeBron 9 “Big Bang” arrive at select retailers in the new year at a date to be announced. While we await further details, grab a quick look at the original 2012 pair here below, and be sure to keep our eyes glued to our official Twitter account for updates.
