Since linking up with 3M on official terms, Nike has outfitted a sizable portion of its favorites — many of which frequently feature the flashy finish — with co-branded badging. The next to do so the humble Air Max Plus, a long-time beneficiary of the ScothLite shine.
Though only equipped along the pair’s traditional tongue line, 3M’s influence on the pair extends to the tongue, with bold, metallic hex paneling arriving on-point with past 3M x Nike releases. Elsewhere the sneaker is heavily influenced by the outdoors, with heavy-duty mesh uppers, outdoor-inspired roped laces and ACG-era flecked midsoles — all of which arrive in drab olives, forest greens, and vibrant neons. Completing the design is a metallic midfoot shank, traditional TN branding throughout and a set of neon green Air supports beneath.
Grab a close-up look at these here, and as they’ve since released over in the EU, it shouldn’t be too long before we see them on Nike.com Stateside.
In other Air Max news, the Nike N7 collection for National Native American History month includes an inspired effort on the Air Max 1.
