Blasts from the past.
With Paris Fashion Week in full swing, the world’s focus lays with the clothes. But for sneakerheads, we’re always looking down, as the week always brings to light several new collaborative efforts into focus.
The latest pair to surface from the week-long festival is a hybrid combining 1999’s Nike Zoom Haven, paired with an Air Max 97 sole unit, premiered at this week’s CLOT show. The long-time Nike collaborators already have Nike’s Air Force 1 and Air Jordan 13 Low in their catalog, but this is the first time they’ve taken on something this left-field.
The Zoom Haven, initially released in 1999, formed part of Nike’s Alpha Project, designed to provide a cocoon-like fit for intense cross-training workouts. This new silhouette mixes the Haven’s busy uppers in red white and blue, and pairs it with the iconic sole unit from 1997’s Air Max, rocking gum hits on the outsole.
Grab a first look at the new hybrid design above, and stay tuned for release information, should it make its way to retailers.
