Nike Gives the Air Force 1 a New York Yankees Makeover

With all eyes locked on Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees ahead of the impending Subway Series against the Mets, Nike has brought back the classic navy, white, and grey scheme to the Air Force 1, immediately evoking memories of classic Yankees-themed colorways from years past.

Though this kids-exclusive colorway is not officially linked to the franchise (none of them are, really), the color scheme provided can never quite escape the moniker. Here, it’s a mix of smooth and white leather sat the pair’s forefoot that works in conjunction with navy blue in the back — a panel that’s affixed with contrast stitching reminiscent of the famous pinstripes. Grey rear overlays and metallic silver Swooshes nod to the franchises’ away kits, with a simple white and navy sole unit and tongue/tag combo rounding out the design.

Expect to see these released this summer for kids (and hopefully adults, too.). Until firm news arrives on its release, take the first and official look at the pair below, and keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further developments.
