Nike will make a triumphant return to overbranding this autumn with a kids-exclusive collection that dips its releases in repeat-print branding. Next up is the Air Max 97 — the pack’s first black-based entry — and it brings with it a handful of new finishes to the collection.
New features like reflective brand panels and textured nylon overlays add some weight to the already-stacked collection, with classic leathers and uppers and tongues gridded in tooling not too dissimilar from the mid panels and tongues of the Air Jordan 4. Color-wise, the pair is set mostly in black, with solitary white medial overlays, and the aforementioned brand penal in white and peach.
