After a brief slow-down in production, the Air Max 97 is picking up steam as it prepares itself for a big 25th-anniversary celebration. One of those expected to join the party is this delicious drum-up in berry and strawberry duds, seen here for the very first time.
Reminiscent of an ice cream sundae, the pair sports a pure white mesh upper, before being overlayed with swirls of dark purple and strawberry pinks in equal measure. Te former has settled at the bottom, gracing the thick leather mudguard and outsole, sandwiching pastel pinks within the upper’s overlays and inside the midsole. Liners, laces, pull and tongue overlays again opt for velvety browns, before being completed by a pink-popped tongue badge and midfoot Swoosh.
A release date for this delicious new Nike Air Max 97 “Violet Ore” is yet to be revealed, but you should expect to see pairs hit select stores and Nike.com over the coming months.
