The Flightposite Returns in Knicks Colors

Two icons of the 90s will collide once more — this time for a retail release.
First releasing 20 years ago in 1999, Nike’s Air Flightposite will be returning in a Knicks-themed colorway that’s tied very closely to the silhouette. The pair, commonly associated with All-Star Knicks guard Allan Houston had a handful of PE Flighposites in ’99 — the same year he led the 8th seeded Knicks to the NBA Finals.
Nostalgic Knicks fans will never forget the silhouette, designed to mimic the long, flowing lines of a concept car and serve as an extension of the wearer’s body. Its wild design made it instantly recognizable, but it was the Knicks success that year that helped the unique sneaker gain some serious exposure, ultimately making the sneaker an icon of the period,
Set to return to retailers on March 2nd, but if you can’t wait, pairs are already available on eBay.
