The 40th anniversary of the Air Force 1 is just heating up — quite literally, now — as the party continues with a special-edition Air Force 1 Low “Chili Pepper” colorway for the celebration.
Uppers of orange suede and creamy leather aims to mimic the titular fruit’s inner flesh and seeds, with green liners looking to channel the stem. The comparisons don’t stop there, with rich red midsole paintwork feeling into creamy midsoles, and a light gum rubber outsole sits underfoot. A mini child symbol is then stitched into the lateral ankle — and screen printed onto the insole — with special Anniversary Edition tongue branding and retrospective Nike Air branding in the rear rounding out the design.
