Nike Air Force 1 Crater “Summit White” Arrives October 1st

Nike’s sustainable Crater Foam is popping up on just about everything of late, the Air Force 1 included. But whilst the other Uptowns have surfaced in relatively traditional constructions, this ladies-exclusive Air Force 1 Crater Foam throws the design manual out the window, delivering one of the most unique takes on the AF1 we’ve seen this year.

Following on from the previously-previewed “Barely Volt”offering comes this more subdued “Summit White” rendition, which again utilizes the discernable Crater Foam midsole and grind-rubber capped outsoles, though the signature blue tint of the former has migrated to the toe, leaving the midsole mainly in crisp white. Uppers arrive in a completely new build, with layering gone, sections are merely stitched together with zig-zag stitching in (likely) recycled materials. Toes feature a grind-flecked finish, overlayed by a translucent blue sheath, whilst tongues, mid, rear, and eyelet panels all arrive in a smooth white finish, and the pair is complete with the line’s signature recycled insoles.

Update 09.25.20 Nike has confirmed a release date for the Air Force 1 Crater Foam “Summit White” for October 1st. PAirs will be landing at stores like Finish Line, JD Sport and Nike.comat 10 am on the day for a cool $110.
