With this year being the silhouette’s 40th anniversary, we’ve seen plenty of love shown to the Air Force 1, from collaborations with Drake, to a special-edition release that honors the City of Angels. Now it’s time for the brand to look inward, with this OG-inspired Nike Air Force 1 High/Low not only honoring it’s original color scheme, but also the low-cut option that revolutionized streetwear.
A white leather construct provides the perfect setting for the OG High’s Grey accents, liners, and straps to pop. The throwback themes continue to the aged-look midsoles, before a nod to the Uptown is implemented via perforated design lines and secondary heel overlays that mark out the low-cut’s iconic silhouette. There’s also an extra set of lacestay overlays and a pure white outsole that nod the Low, with a handful of final touches like sail laces, ’82-branded dubraes, and special hourglass motifs embroidered at the heel.
