Another 40th Anniversary Air Force 1 High Appears

40 years is a long time to remain the center of attention, but the Air Force 1 has never shied away from the spotlight; in fact, one would say that the silhouette is lapping it up this year, with its 40th-anniversary celebrations discussed on a daily basis. Most of that sprouts from the continual run of celebratory releases, like this new Air Force 1 High; one which continues a themed series that was first spotted on a handful of Lows.

Like those, this Air Force 1 High features special debased 40 branding at the lateral heel, metallic gold eyelets and dubraes, special 1/Swoosh tongue branding, and added forefoot mini Swooshes for good measure. Bruce Kilgore’s John Hancock also features on the inner tongue as a tribute to the legendary designer.

Here, for the pack’s first High, Nike has deployed a fairly simple color scheme, with sail leather uppers accents with blue Swooshes, straps, and brand marks, atop a classic white sole unit.

Though a release date did not accompany the image set below, you should expect to see pairs of the Nike Air Force 1 Highs arrive at select retailers soon.
