2022 has seen a celebration like no other before it, with the brand’s marquee (and best-selling) sneaker — the Air Force 1 — recollecting four decades of influence. The big 40th birthday bash has honored everything from OGs to nice communities that helped the silhouette become an icon, to premium tooled options like this new Air Force 1 Low “Anniversary Edition”

Arriving in all-black duds, the pair deviates in both theme and stigma from the staple “Triple Black” colorway through the addition of elevated reptilian-textured overlays, rhinestone Swooshes, and rear overlays, and luxe satin liners. Premium leathers continue to the tongue, which comes fitted with debossed branding and gold foil prints, before a handful of gold hardware is introduced at the upper eyelet and custom dubraes to complete the design.
