With 2022 marking the 40th anniversary of the Air Force 1, you’d expect Nike to go all-out on the silhouette, collaboration, limited-edition, or otherwise. And whilst the former category is yet to gain substantial members, this next general release ostensibly looks to Acronym for inspiration.
Given their recent hardware-riddled efforts on two Blazer Lows, it’s easy to see how their influence has shaped this Air Force 1, with mechanical, almost carabiner-like Swoosh tooling placed atop the profilings panels. This utilitarian aesthetic is bolstered by zip-pocket tongues and safety orange dubraes at the forefoot. The remainder of the sneaker is fairly reserved, with a staple white leather construct completed by black leather Swoosh and rear overlays _ the former shortened in length to highlight the pair’s champion caging.
Though a release date did not accompany the official image set below, you should expect to see pairs of this utilitarian Nike Air Force 1 Low “Carabina” arrive at select retailers soon. While we await further details, grab a quick look at the pair here below, and be sure to keep our eyes glued to our official Twitter accountfor updates.
