When one thinks of the ultimate sneaker staple, the Air Force 1has to be close to — if not the — top of the list. Because of its wide-reaching adoration, it’s never in a shortage of new and imaginative iterations, the next a second colorway of an in-cut Check design that we saw last week.
Naturally, following the first-previewed white pair comes a black one, this opting for murdered-out uppers of heavily-tumbled leathers. Hardened toe caps arrive in a tonal hue, while the brand-less rear overlay and in-cut Swooshes are finished in a fully reflective 3M finish. Striking orange embroidered Checks at the forefoot provide the pair’s only splash of color, while a stark white sole unit underfoot come hit with a lick of black paint at the heel. Redesigned tongue tags and added rear pulls arrive up top to complete the design.
