Recycled Nike Air Force 1 Arrives in December
Sustainability has at the front of mind for Nike in 2020, with the overarching Move to Zero campaign hosting a bevy of earth-friendly products crafted for the betterment of planet Earth. The well-documented Space Hippie lineage has been the most notable contributor, but notable efforts from the brand’s NRG department — notably, the Nike Dunk Low “Lemon Wash” — has helped the recyclable movement move along in leaps and bounds. Now, as it appears, there is another cut-and-sew-styled release is on the way with this Nike Air Force 1 Low joining the already previewed Air Max 1, Air Max 90, and Air Max 95.
Arriving with a palette akin to the pack’s Air Max 1, this AF1 again pairs recycled yarns with smooth white leathers and hits of black — here in ashy, Crouch leather at the quarter, and smooth jet black in the back. Sport Red Swooshes arrive with the line’s signature over-locked exposed stitching seen here in blue, with further hits of the cooling hue ushered in at the tongue, heel, and midsole detail. Forefoot mini Swooshes, like the aforementioned Air Max 1, arrive in Electric Green, and the pair is capped off with cement grey sole units, and the pack’s consistent use of its recycled insoles.
