Though we’re still waiting patiently for a 40th-anniversary release of the OG Air Force 1 High, it’s full steam ahead of the wider celebration of the silhouette, with new iterations of the model appearing in droves. The next to appear is one that joins a handful of other classic Nike models like the Dunk and Air Max 97 in receiving a juxtaposed utilitarian/whimsical overhaul as part of the brand’s wider “Utility Pack” collection.
Though it shares many similar elements to those aforementioned models, the pack’s Air Force 1 gets a little lighter in appearance, thanks to bright white anchor points at the soles, toes, eyestays, and tongues. The use of tans is limited, with suede Swooshes and heel overlays the only instance; it does go heavier on pastel yellows and blues, though, with the mid and quarter panel proffering the hues in smooth leather finishes. Waffle mesh tongues return, so to does the added utilitarian pulls in orange, with playful elements like illustrated insoles and iridescent hardware adding a whimsical element to an otherwise outdoor-inspired release.
While an official release date for this all-new Nike Air Force 1 Low “Utility Pack” has yet to be revealed, the surfacing of product imagery would suggest that a release is on the way. Until more news arrives, grab a very first look at the pair here below, and be sure to keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates.
