Combining two of the brand’s most revolutionary cushioning technologies, the newest take on the Uptown — the Air Force 1 React — is somewhat of a strange one, as it enlists a similar inside-out aesthetic to that seen on this recently-revealed Air Jordan 1, but also employs a distinct “Split” at the midfoot that separates said cushioning. With the back half benefitting from contemporary React Foam, the sneaker’s rear-end replicates the era in which it was devised. The front half is equipped with Air, and proffers a more traditional leather build to suit the technology’s age.
Now after a brief hiatus, the silhouette returns with a new colorway split between sail and neon, with black bridging the gap between the two. Here, the forefoot is delivered in smooth sail leathers, with sole units and laces following suit. The rear end, however, relies upon translucent ripstop and see-through soles, both proffering vole and bright blue hues beneath. The two halves are then held together by bold black Swooshes and tongues.
At this stage, there are no release details provided for this new Air Force 1 React colorway, but you should expect more news to filter through soon — so be sure to keep your eyes locked on our official Twitter account for further updates. Until then, grab a first and official look at the pair here below.
