Nike’s Air Force 1 has always held strong in delivering an abundance of colorways, often experimenting with a plethora of textiles to keep the classic silhouette consistently fresh. It’s also been prevalent in Nike’s overarching “Move to Zero” sustainability project, the latest having appeared as part of an upcoming Recycled Wool pack due to kick off its releases in January.
This Air Force 1 joins previously-previewed options of the Air Max 95 and Blazer Mid, both of which feature the same recycled yarn against striking white uppers. Here, the in-cut lateral Swoosh reveals the marquee material, while the medial overlays revert to a more-traditional suede. Tongues, too, come constructed in the recycled fabrication, with sole units following the sustainable theme, appearing to be flecked with scrap rubbers. Elsewhere, you’ll find a traditional white leather build, more suede pops in the rear, and striking volt insoles to complete the design.
Grab an official look at this consciously-built Air Force 1 here below, and with the matching Blazers ready to rock at retailers on January 7th, you can expect that these won’t be too far behind it — so be sure to keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates.
In related news, another sustainable Air Force 1 just hit stores, this one with corduroy, camo, and striking volt overlays.
