Nike’s push to a more sustainable future in sneakers will be given a big thrust forward during the Summer season, with the Sportswear division’s epic multi-pair pack dubbed “Nike Sun Club”. Already revealing itself in a multitude of multi-color, multi-material models, the collection’s second instance of the Uptown ditches the gaudy hues for something a little more reserved.
For this iteration of the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Sun Club”, Nike has dressed the silhouetted is a mixture of linen-like weaves and canvas overlays, mostly in Arctic Orange hues. The Swoosh and heel overlay is the only exception to this, with both delivered in bright whites to match the laces and soles. Eyestay overlays are doubled-up, with its top layer loosely trimmed, and covering up the newly-added lace loops. Just above, you’ll spot Nike’s hammock-laden character — a signature of the Sun Club series — and the Brand’s Move to Zero volt insoles. Finishing off the design is a special set of Swoosh-branded bamboo lace aglets.
